As summer approaches, we’ll gradually move the run start time earlier — likely to 9:00 AM in June and 8:30 AM in July. Meet at Columbus Circle and finish at Artisan Cafe on Amsterdam Ave between 89th and 90th Streets. Bag Check is available at NYRR Run Center, where you have free locker, water fountain and bathroom. This route showcases some of the best running terrain and scenery in Central Park, combining soft trails, rolling hills, and iconic skyline views into one fantastic loop. We’ll begin by heading north along the full Bridle Path on the west side of the park, enjoying the quieter atmosphere and forgiving dirt surface beneath the tree canopy. The route gradually climbs toward the Reservoir, offering a peaceful escape from the city streets. Once we reach the Reservoir, we’ll transition onto the upper loop, where wide-open views of the Manhattan skyline, Harlem Meer area, and the park’s northern landscapes make this one of the most scenic sections of the run. After completing the loop, we’ll descend via the lower level and cross toward the East Side. From there, we continue north to the 102nd Street Traverse, reconnect with West Drive, and cruise south through the heart of the park. Expect a mix of gentle rolling hills. We’ll exit at 90th Street before finishing the final kilometer together at Artisan Cafe — the perfect spot to cool down and grab coffee.
